The picture above shows some of our Nurses and PCA’s having an amazing time in Gunnedah, NSW where they are working as contract healthcare staff in an aged care facility.
One of the team is an RN who has never travelled as a contract nurse prior to this and recently left her permanent job in order to travel and see more of Australia whilst earning double what she was earning previously. After completing this contract she is off to Nepal and when she returns will be taking on a new contract in another fun and interesting regional location.
Another one of the team is a Personal Care Worker who also has never taken on a contract position prior to this. She approached JPS after talking with her friends who already work as contract health care staff for JPS. Both her and her husband joined the JPS team and are now having an amazing time working in regional aged care facilities earning far more than they were previously.
So why make the jump to contract work?
- You get to see and explore parts of Australia you never would have.
- You gain valuable experience working in a variety of different settings.
- You get to choose when you work and when you take time off.
- You get paid far more as a contractor so when you do take time off you have many more options to do things like travel to Nepal!
Contracting isn’t for everyone but if you have the flexibility to travel then you can earn much more whilst having amazing experiences in new and interesting locations.
